Embracing Singledom

How do you do it? Last time I has split up with someone lived with who actually thought it would last with, I went clubbing weekend, took drugs and had a million one-night stands.

I was 28 then though, and I'm 35 now. The one night stands won't come so easy, the drugs will take too long to recover from and clubs have lost their magic.

How now?

I'm 52, love my singledom most of the time, music, light recreational drug use, fresh air, good friends, less one night stands but some healthy no strings shagging.

I am so enjoing a solitary spiff, some great tunes and looking forward to sleep.

You'll get there, and suspect you won't be lonely for long.

I dreeeeeeam of being 44.

Mind you, I spent the year when I was 42 thinking I was 44 so when it was my birthday I realised I was only 43. Which was nice.

:D

Men get more dignified looking as they get older. I just get older looking.

Heh i challenge anyone to fit me and 'dignified' in the same sentence.

It was hitting 50 and moving to a place i really wanted to be that seem to have made me more comfortable with being single. I'd be happy meeting someone but that would require me to go out occasionally which knocks that idea on the head :) .

haha I spent most of my 28th year thinkng I was 29...then when my 29th birthday loomed I had a panic attack as I thought I was gonna be 30 :D
Doesn't seem so scary now that I will be 30 in Oct.

I was pleasantly surprised by the photo of your face the other day

That came out wrong didn't it?

Just a little but I won't hold it against you. (Said the Bishop to the Actress)

I realised last night that I've got a nicer one which i might post at some stage.

Beautiful single ladies are much more than welcome at Fun Club, madz and, to be honest, we encourage them to attend with the intention of doing someone.

I love the idea of Fun Club even if it ends up Londoncentric.

Think that it would be worthy of it's own sub forum in Community where people could ask fun club members if they fancied the pub, a gig or the cinema on a given night and people could say yeah and agree to meet.

Foo, you can spell "FUN CLUB" without "F" which, as you know, is the first letter in "Foo" so, yeah, I'd say it was pretty much fuckin' essential that you be in attendance.
