Embarrassing sections of otherwise great albums

Basically, any "skit" from a hip hop album is pointless after the first listen, and they are never any good anyway.

Couple of the self-effacing ones off Eminem's albums are okay, apart from that they are all bollocks.

Kate Bush makes a speciality of doing this, though the one that sticks out particularly in my mind is The Whole Story she inserts the excrutiating Experiment Iv into what is otherwise a stream of first class hits.

Somehow I think the only album she's avoided it on was The Hounds of Love.

Mind Sex in Dead Prez - Let's Get Free. OMFG.

Haaarrgh!
"Before we make lurve lets have a good conversation"

Yeah, fuck off mate, lets keep the talking down to where you're planning to stick it.

I'd have to nominate "Their Satanic Magistrys Request' by The Stones... for those that don't know this was their 'oh my f*cking god, listen to what the Beatles have done on Sergant Peppers' album... its got two of the finest Stones tracks out there (Citadel, and 2000 lightyears from home) but the opening track (a lopeing 'hippie' singalong repleat with 'ethnic' pecussion) has Jagger utter the folllowing, in an awefull cod mockney accent:
'where's that joy-ant'.

Ruins the album, as by the time you've stopped cringing the album has been over for a couple of hours or so...

The Lenny Henry track on Cafe Bleu by the Style Council.

That's on 'Our Favourite Shop' and is called 'The stand up comic's instructions'. You're probably thinking of the 'A gospel' rap track from Cafe Bleu. If so, you have a point ;) .

Quite right... on both counts. Which reminds me... Tracey/Tracie (?) - whatever the hell happened to her? And what was that single she did?

'secret tracks' which involve the last track playing twenty minutes of silence and then the aforementioned track

Completely ruins Green Day 'dookie' and Deftones 'around the fur'

Bloody, bloody, bloody 'pretty fly for a white guy' on Offsprings 'Americana' - there's some quality tracks on that there album, but the chart success of PFFAWG overshadowed the rest of the album. It's better than Ixnay as well.

:(

After Ixnay they stopped trying with their singles, after Americana with their albums.

(I still own all their stuff though :o)

I was just gonna say Don't Stop on the original Roses album.

What's with the attachment to tape reverses?

Best album ever to have a track skipped on every play.
