If it works on hers then, you've isolated the problem to something else on the machine. If not, it's probably something not set right. Some iSPs need you to check the. "My provider requires authentication box."

A. The account info is correct.
B. Virgin have given the correct account info, protocols used, server names etc.
C. There's no firewall issues.

Are you using a router to get online or a USB modem? Because most routers have some firewall capability built in. Only an ammiture at this stuff myself. Would seem weird if the firewall was blocking access to only one acocunt though, rather than any email connections.

we both use a usb modem, and i know he has wireless connection (airport) for his laptop...if that makes any diffence, although he cannot access his account via that or the pc he also has...![]()
