He's clearly a talented pianis... Guffaw guffaw. He was always a bit too unadventurous for my liking. Perpetually remaining within the safety of the mediocre 'classic rock' margins that he set himself from the outset. And I'm talking about him in the past tense which is revealing in itself. Also I thought that rewording candle in the wind for Diana was a tad lazy and disrespectful to the original recepient. Still, decent pianis...

he was totally robbed by tommy

he would have won that pinball tonament if he didnt have a piano on his machine

FIX

I like him and think he's done some classic stuff. I remember buying the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album when I first got a CD player and I played it to death.

However, I don't think much of his more recent releases.

Its hard to live near luton and not want him to fuck off.

Tiny dancer is quality though. But first i heard of it was dave grohl doing it acousticly and then on almost famous so i dont really count it as an elton john song.

I thought his music was great in the '70s, but is dismal now, and over the years he's become more and more of a prancing prick, so I'm not sure how to vote.

That's like saying Chelsea fans are sympathetic to corporate sharking.

Not really. What I mean is that Sky etc. invariably play Elton songs when showing Watford goals etc. so you get to associate them with the good times.

Still, decent pianis
I read that totally wrong and though he was cheating on Furnish already. :)

Some of his bouncy 70s stuff is quite good but it's a shame he's going to be remembered for that insipid drival from '97 which is the biggest selling single ever for some unknown reason.

I'm listening to 'The Tumbleweed Collection' which is bunch of faux-western-themed songs ('My Father's Gun', 'Country Comfort' etc.) and it's pretty good. I like it anyway. :p 'My Father's Gun' has this great big hey jude style outro that gives me cheesey grins.
