s'alright - i didn't mean that (current self esteem reading: riding high at 83% ;) )

Just that I don't think i've ever seen any other women as hot as she was in that film..., even me ;) :p

And people criticise cosmetic surgery....... :p

E2A: I thought/think Elizabeth Taylor was/is a crap actress, so I won't be watching any of her movies again.

That said, dying sucks.

<sigh>

imagine - to have been so beautiful, so sexy...

One of my fav films.........

and Paul Newman...........sigh !

Watched it with my eldest once and he was well dribbling over Liz !

:)

She has been close to death several times before so maybe she might yet pull through this. :)

She's had an interesting life to say the least and her relationship with Burton will go down in history as being dead passionate and romantic...ahhhhh

National Velvet was one of my favourite films as a little girl :o

Of her later films I like her best in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, such a darkly funny film, with loads of great one liners

I love the costumes in Cleopatra but it was a bit of a crap film

She was in National Velvet. International Velvet was the sequel where her part was played by Ms Fairy Liquid (and Stepford Wife) Nanette Newman.

I thought it was Tatum O'Neill

or was that a remake?

*Disclaimer: Has no idea whether E.T. is a drunk or not.

i wouldn't say "a drunk", but there is that funny scene where he drinks the lager from the fridge at home and gets pissed whilst elliot is at school, and he feels drunk too and lets all the frogs go and snogs that blonde girl.

National Velvet from 1944 starred a young Elizabeth Taylor as Velvet Brown. International Velvet is the sequel from 1978 where Nanette Newman played Taylor's character as a grown up and Tatum O'Neil played her niece.

Hope that clears things up. :)

As long as they don't cremate her.

The ozone layer's fucked enough as it is.
