    No, I'd never heard of it either.

    Silent plane with no moving parts makes 'historic' flight

    Be pretty amazing if they can scale it up.

    Problem with current technology, is that superconductors cannot operate at room temperature and battery technology cannot store enough energy. I believe the boat was powered by a generator and it would have greater performance if the generator had been used to turn a propeller rather than generate electricity. :thumbs:

    May be in the future when we have room temperature superconductors and batteries with greater storage capacity, this sort of technology will take off.
