parliament/funkadelic at Fuji festival 2002 are by a million miles theeeeee best live act i have ever seen in my life. my mate and me were so hyped up we ended up dancing about on the stage like a pair of fannies and pestering their backing singers for drugs.

and after breakfast in the hotel i got in the lift and george Clinton was standing in it.

i congratulated him on his performance and made a crap joke about "hey , if i was in kraftwerk and this lift broke down we could start techno" (reference to derrick may's quote on the 'origins of techno' being kraftwerk and funkadelic stuck in an elevator)

though he did smile and sort of mumble in the affirmative i don't think he got it and i felt a bit of a cock.
