I come from a time when a Cortina was a 'family sized car' and that thing fucking dwarfs it.
No honestly - it really isn't more than a few inches bigger than a cortina.

Cortina is a big car compared to my idea of a family car, which is a hatchback!

Seriously.

Well, that and the great big estate bit at the back of course.

But do you really think the car in that video is a small one?

The Cortina is shorter, narrower and smaller.

Skoda Octavia Estate Height 1468, Cortina 1320 mm
Skoda Octavia Estate Length 4572, Cortina 4260 mm
Skoda Octavia Estate Width 1769, Cortina Width 1702 mm

Ithankyou.

Can we get back to the topic now please?

Code:
		Skoda	Cortina	Difference
Wheelbase 2578	2578	0
Length 4572	4267	-315
Width 1769	1714	-55
Height 1468	1320	-148

facts, ladies and gents, facts.

EDIT: Oh My God. I can't believe we both did that.

So the skoda is 4" higher, 1' longer and 2.75" wider.

Hardly dwarfing it then. :p

Can I be the first to get all angry and ranty and start demanding people "read the fucking thread" or "apologise immediately" :D ;)

Tbh - I'm suprised the Skoda is a whole foot longer. I had a hatchback one and I bet there would be precious little between that and a Cortina.

I think you'll find in 'real life' that adds up to a considerable difference.

Anyway, about the accident on Coldharbour Lane...

Nope - nowhere near!! It's straight road with nothing on it. So some people drive ridiculously fast but it's hard to see what the car could have hit apart from another car.

You leave me no choice.

On the common at sunset. Furry dice or traffic light air freshener?
