As to his voice at Batman, I think the point is that he's trying to disguise what he really sounds like. It's probably the kind of voice someone would adopt as Batman, in real life (which is the sort of slant nolan is trying to achieve)

Batman is such a nob in that film. Not only does he have a stupid voice, but he also tried to steal Maggie from her perfectly nice boyfriend, and he has girlfriends who he is obviously just using. And then him and Maggie totally do the dirty on 2face and then we're supposed to want them to be together?
