Eduardo charged

does anyone remember what happened to shearer after neil lennon stupidly headbutted his foot?

nothing wasn't it?

Managed to claim that he was falling over and caught him accidently and after threating to quit england if he was banned the authorities did fuck all.

If memory serves.

That's about right. the FA practically did backflips trying to find a way of explaining how him plainly kicking someone in the head on camera was in fact something entirely different.

What was bllodgate trying to achieve tho? To get a player onto the field who would be better at taking a kick, IF they got a penalty. Eduardo ensured that they got a penalty in the first place.

Yeah but one happended in the heat of battle and there is an argument to be made that it was a vegue accident and he may have been caught slightly and knocked off balence.

The other the club aquired a chewable blood capsuale or 10 and coaches from the director of football(i think he is called that still:confused: ) down to the physio who gave the capsule to the player and the player himself(and presumably the kicker) where all aware of the plot.

In my mind its about the equivelent of saying some bloke who ends up killing some other bloke in a random fight should be treated in the same way as the people who planned and killed someone over a long time with deatialed plans and stuff.

Which is silly.

Just read up on it. I am about right, however neil lennon testified saying it was no big deal, fuck it.

Which im sure helped somewhat.

Makes no difference if they ban him or not. Doesnt change the outcome of the match or benefit the team he cheated.

Diving will still go on until they bring in video refs. Catch them out during the game send them off, down to 10 men that might change it. Once your team are into a pot worth £10-£20 mill its to late.

out of curiosity, and i'm not expecting many replies on this - it's just something i wonder, would people be so fussed about the incident if a) arsenal had been playing rangers, or b) it had been a player from another team who had been awarded the penalty?

The scottish mhedia have had fits over it. If it had been Rangers we would be told these things even themselves out over the season.
How many other players have dived in europe this week?

^But it would be a step forward to getting diving out of the game, which is the point. No doubt though they will let him off cheaply.

It won't be a big step forward at all. All the stories about it have been citing some Lithuanian who got a ban for diving in 2007 and has that made any difference? Banning one random diver won't change anything. Like a few people have said without a proper policy to deal with it this is pointless, not that I have any sympathy for him.

it was implied otherwsie why would anyone care between rangers and celtic.

Or am i putting two and two together and getting the wrong number?

Pickmans why would anyone care if it was rangers playing arsneal rather then celtic?

sorry i don't understand.

Millwall are the biggest shower of bastards that have ever spewed out of women's vaginas.

But if the question is would i care if a player dived against millwall the answer is no, i would have laughed and asked him to be knighted or given a free bus pass or something.:D

But a west ham fan isn't likely to say any differently.

This Eduardo incident sends a shiver of unjust down my slender spine!!!

How the hell can he get a 2 game ban, when that dirty Sheffield United player was caught clear as day on camera elbowing Iain Hume in the face and breaking his jaw.

That's the crime in all of this when the FA said nothing could be done. Disgusted!

EDIT: Ok, not his jaw - his skull.

So here's a player who had 18 months out of the game with a horrific injury to his right ankle.

On Wednesday sees the keeper coming from his right and the last thing he wants is to be hit with the weight on that ankle so he 'takes the foot away' and goes over - seems perfectly understandable to me.

The story i was told is of scottish football fans mostly Rangers fans.
