EDL attack facists?

Obviously, some of the Celtic Casuals have a solid anti-fascist pedigree.

Via a fash site, heard that the Leeds Service Crew were now antifascist as well. Any evidence of this last weekend?

Quite a few LSC are supportive of the EDL and took part in the march but as far the firm being antifascist not sure where that's coming from. They do have a forum which is easily found.

Reading what a few Leeds were saying on a football website recently i'd take this 'news' with a shovel full of salt.

i think it is important .. nazi pro hitler racist politics is never going to get anywhere in this country .. it is a lesson Griffin and the BNP have learnt only too well

maybe so here in the UK, but in the EU, Griffin and Co are allying themselves with the Hungarian Neo-Nazi Jobbik Party.

The NF had some influence, but not that much, they'd sell papers/badges and then go without even entering the ground to watch the match. The WRP it later turned out had some influence too and actually went to matches and followed the team away.

There are some excellent black players at Leeds now, as there has been since 1961, when Albert Johanneson played for United, so racist ideology fermenting the Leeds United ranks is unlikely to be welcomed at anytime.

pity that wasn't the case when Leeds had their players night out in 2000

hehehe.

When it was all kicking oof around Brick Lane after Beackon got elected a few of the lads knocking about were football lads.

It was a good mixture of x afa and militant supporters. The main link was an x member of the ICF. There was always x and not so x hooligans from all 5 main london clubs and other clubs as well who would turn up for a row with the fash in the 80s to mid 90s.

Leeds used to have a fanzine " marching altogether" that was soft anti racist like most of the football zines of the time.

The EDL are not just organised by the far right, they're backed by sections of the ruling class on both sides of the Atlantic.

Could you expand on this please, a comrade in the pub made a similar claim but it got vague beyond the fact that one of EDLs bankrollers is apparently very rich.

Well there's the bank roller and then there's all those neo-con Republican connections, like Daniel Pipes.
