Edinburgh - Meet?

Things seem to be veering decidedly towards Sunday.

How about a nice walk up Calton Hill, as a cool down after your run?

:)

If I am up in Edinburgh visiting the family and free I would love to come for a meet and greet.. Will keep an eye-spy on the thread.

Doubt anyone would want to meet me so for that reason - I'm out.

Plus I'm t-total just now in preperation for the marathon and its fucking shit.

If you're not drinking then that's all the more reason for you to come - it's always good to have a designated driver ;)

Seriously though, you should. I'm not drinking much atm either.

Sunday 3rd of May. Yes indeed, Frankie. :)

Now what shall we do? How about a nice bracing walk up Calton Hill?

Yeah.. why not.. unless there's a downpour that day.. I'll be based around the cannongate/mile area..

Just across from here...

Never been in the place I don't think...

Has a meet place been decided yet..

For choices around the Mile.. check out

Pubs on the Mile...

Just to add I won't be getting tooo swallied... Gotta get my arse back to Balloch that night or early next day..

Unless my son arrives in Edinburgh that Sunday instead of Glasgow the next day..

Might just get gubbed then.. eventually.... :-)

I won't be getting pissed. I'll have other people to attend to in the evening.

I'm going there for someone's birthday and thought I'd steal away from the celebrations for a few hours to meet some lovely urbs, but I can't ignore them for too long.

Have fun y'all.

I'll come to the next one so I can get burst. I love drinking and being sober isn't easy but I ,must be strooooong!

Walk up Calton Hill sounds fun. Or how about a wander about the botanics?

The botanics might be good. Is it conveniently located?

My friends I'm going there with have discussed a walk up Calton Hill, so doubtless if we go up there I will end up going up twice, and if we don't they'll walk up on Sunday afternoon, when I'm with you lot...

Not too far between the two.. Bout a mile as the crow flies but two miles the way the streets go... can be done tho...

I'm not doing both in one day.

I shall let others decide on pubs as I don't know them at all and a pub is a pub is a pub to me, mostly.

Hows about a meet in the Worlds End or the Tass... or up the street on the mile at the Bank.. or a better known more obvious pub.. Deacon Brodies... Or Jangling Geordies... round left from the station.. and up a wee close wi stairs...

Deacon Brodies could be a shout. My mate works there so I can kill too birds with one stone.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure there are buses that go past the botanics.
