wish I'd seen this b4 - we have yet another "family get-together"

(where's the weeping with despair smilie?)

That's Max's place is really really expensive and very small you know! Although they do have nice cakes.

I've had the roti and it was lovely - actually really delicious, but it was also about 1/5th of the size of any other roti I've ever eaten and about 2x the price.

Not trying to put you off - it's nice as a treat, which I guess this would be.. but it was a bit of a shock to us when we got the bill for 2 teas, a slice of cake and a roti!

well we can always go there, check it out and if it looks too crowded / pricey go to either Choc's / Mine as they're both close by...

Sorry you're not coming GG - haven't seen you in *ages!*

ETA: Don't forget the clocks go forward tonight @ 1am

i would prefer to come to yours then eme :O that would mean if people come a bit later etc, it will be easier. plus the comfort of a home can't be topped!

what do people think. i am open minded really

Nah, not put me off - these things are good to know ;)

You always hide when we come round, it's almost as if you don't want any of the cake!
Oh no, I'm always there when there's a bit of cake going around - and I have to get in quick because you lot move in fast on the treats.

In fact, Eme will testify to my disappointment when I learnt that you lot weren't baking today. I was all ready with my cup of Earl Grey!

Lovely afternoon, ta for hosting Eme :)

I've found a pair of 3.25 little needles (with smiley cats heads) if you want them? Pretty sure I'll never use them, they were free from innocent smoothies I think.

ooh yes please!

Lovely to see everyone... :D Ms T - see you @ Bookgroup instead?

ooh, I like their silk tweed :o wonder if that'll work for the tank top pattern... must finish squares first! :D

Yep thanks, it was lovely :) great to see you all...

the mitred squares were so sweet, I'm almost tempted to make them (if it didn't involve swatching!)

There has got to be a way to aviod that from working from the inside outwards.

:hmm:

Cast on 3, then increase on the centre stitch each time? Would that work? Also do you inc one each row? Or 2 each row? I'm such a dunce really :o

i'd be tempted to try a M1 (pick up loop and twist) increase , each side of the center stitch on every second row.

eithr that or knit a diagonal square and use that as your swatch for the miters
