Eastbourne vs Dulwich Hamlet (FA Cup) 6 October 2018

Revised pricing for the coach to Eastbourne Borough for this Saturday 6th October.

As stated before, the coach will leave at 11.30am from Champion Hill. We are advised that it will arrive at around 2pm. The bar at Eastbourne will be open to Hamlet fans (info courtesy of StephenMac).

    Revised Pricing:
    £20 Adults
    £15 Concessions
    £10 for accompanied teenagers (13-19)
    £5 for accompanied under 13’s

We have changed the prices as we have become aware of rail pricing changes that have reduced the amount that people can save by travelling by coach - although the stadium to stadium benefits with no need to walk from the station still apply of course.

We also want to remove any perceived barrier to people choosing the coach so, on this occasion, there will be no reduction for Supporters’ Trust members. (Non-Trust members who have already paid the higher rate will receive a refund).

The game on Saturday is an important one to win for the financial health of the club. A win would give the club prize money of £15,000, a share of the gate money and the chance of another money spinning tie in the 4th qualifying round. It would give us - by a long way – our biggest matchday income this season at a time when the club really needs it.

The Trust wants to help as many people to attend the game as possible. Those who watched the Woking game recently would have seen how the team responded to a great turnout of Hamlet fans who witnessed a win over the league leaders.

The other thing we have to make clear is that, if the coach remains poorly supported, we will have to factor that into our ability to run coaches to the range of future games that we had hoped.

So please use the coach on Saturday – and encourage others to do so.

Sorry to be a straight-laced kill joy but, as noted above, if the coach isn’t supported on Saturday it might limit the ones the Trust can run in the future.

I’d be really grateful for any help people can provide in getting the seats filled.

And thanks for nominating me to the Trust Board EDC - I’ll always be grateful for that!

Not for me to mention the same would have applied to the 'Dooley bus'...and not too many from the Trust Board then chose to support it...so no need for that plea really....

Well, since I've been on the Board we've always supported it by pushing it via Trust social accounts, shop etc ... sure that's always been the case. Sorry, if you feel we didn't do enough .... I did have the intentions of publishing articles on the Trust website promoting it when Dooley ran them, in hindsight I should have done.

I think Hungerford Town away was on the provisional list of coaches. Any news on this...it's not too far away....eight days in fact. Will there be one to Hungerford please?

Hungerford was never on the list and so the Trust won't be running a coach to this one.

At the beginning of the season I posted that the Trust are looking to offer coaches to the following matches:

Truro City (Torquay) - 10th November
    Gloucester City - 22nd December
    Eastbourne Borough - 1st January
    Concord Rangers - 2nd February
    Torquay United - 23rd February
    Oxford City - 23rd March
    Chippenham Town - 6 April
    Weston Super-Mare - 27th April

There isn't one for Hungerford. I thought there was...but there was never one planned. My fault for confusing people...

We’re not running a coach to Hungerford I’m afraid - as per the message from Scolly above.

It's nice and warm in my workplace. No consolation for those of us who can't go...would much rather I was in the bracing weather down in Good Old Sussex by the Sea!

Top tip: Stand in front of a strong electric fan with someone spraying water at you at around 3pm to feel like you're there.
