I live in dalston but i need a good dentist around here.I've been putting off getting this tooth out for so long :( ..I haven't had the best experience with them,so id appreciate any suggestions of local places that might be okay.

*Pays close attention to thread....

On my last visit to a Hackney Dentist, on Lower Clapton Road, mid-way through giving me a filling the dentist dissapeared upstairs for half an hour to settle a dispute between a guy he rented a room to over the surgery and a load of factory workers who this guy was subsequently sub-letting the room on to to sleep in.

Lots of arguing later and the dentist returned to complete my filling without so much as a word of apology.

I think I need a new dentist.

thanks yall :)

that one on lower clapton rd sounds dodgy as fuck..i dont think id trust anyone in clapton with my teeth..

if you dont mind travelling to silvertown there is the city airport detal surgery.. the dentist there "ola" is fantastic at her job. i hate dentists but i love her and her wor is secong to none. she recently replaced a broken cap for me which was a terrible fit. the moment it went in it was like it was my own tooth.

City Smile, Hackney Road...had an implant done there they are very, very good.

My GF goes there and is happy with them too.

I go to Al Attar on Old Ford Rd (very near Bethnal Greewn tube) and am happy with them too. Both take NHS patients.

There's a german woman on the narrowway - used to scare the fuck out of me but she's ok - she'll do what needs to be done at a cheap price, and she'll do it well - I just had a crown and root filling and she's fine. My mate had a crown done at the same time and was charged 100 pound more - my crown is right at the front of my mouth so I was very sensitive about it - she did a good job. I can now smile :)

eta: just remembered - I thought she was German but she's not - she trained in Germany but is from Finland.

I went to that dentist :D she was pretty good to me. The 'surgery' was right proper downmarket tho

scruffy, downmarket but she is very good but very 'no frills' no nonsense approach - that's why she scared me at first plus what I thought was a German accent as she barely spoke English in those days - that and the time she yanked a tooth out and actually had her knee on my chest and lifted me out of the fucking chair

I'm not doing her any favours here am I :D

I'm glad I saw your recommendation. I'm a very nervous dental patient who has had to take sedatives in the past before treatment. I believe it was Maxine O'grady I saw and I appreciated her her honest and straight forward assesment as I need some extensive work wich includes a lot of cosmetic dentistry.
