Earl's court is gridlocked by traffic and as such quite polluted. I never found it anymore than a exhibition centre and a station. If you've found somewhere nice/cheapish then you're lucky however and probably it's best to take it. You can't be too fussy I guess. It sounds ideal for getting to Temple.
I would be living in a residential area away from the main roads? Yeah it does seem ideal time wise- I'm only an hour and half away commute at the moment so I want to make it worthwhile moving to London for the year!
I'm not sure I'd want to live in earls court, there is sod all to do locally, and it's not very London London. Plus you are paying crazy prices to be just a couple of stops closer to the centre.
Are you coming from another country? Where are the other students living? Where is the college?
Are you looking to grab a slice of London life? Or are you looking for convenience? Either way, unless you have somehow got an incredible deal on a place in earls court, there are shit loads of places I'd rather be.
