Give the guy a break. What is wrong with this country? Can't we give a guy a second chance? Surely the message should be here's someone who's turned himself around and is now winning and capable of winning. But oh no, with characteristic British fatalism, he keeps getting knocked.
What's wrong with the psyche of this country that someone who's good at something gets kicked to the kerb all the time. All the while we expect to produce top sportsmen.
Bollocks.
Let him run I say. He's done his time.
well medical reasons are obviously acceptable, let's not be pedantic and stupid. I don't condone the use of drugs in sport or recreationallyNo paracetamol for headaches or morphine for patients in hospitals then? How about Ventolin? Do you not condone that either?

He was a cheating cunt, yes. Can people not change? Should we not allow them a second chance? Or should we condone snide sniping from the sidelines? That's all that's happening now. Why does this country assume that he can't change and that we should constantly kick him for it. All smacks of jealousy to me.He's a cheating cunt. I used to love watching athletics (Coe vs. Ovett at every Euro meeting was a constant fixture and delight and fucking tons more), now I find it hard to trust any of them. Duane Chambers is a fucking cheating cunt, BTW. Fuck him, and his stupid lawsuit. Cheating fucking bastard and sadly he's not the only one. Cunts like him have ruined the most basic and worthy sporting contests. Or, basically, what Melinda said.
Pedantic aren't we.No tea, coffee & booze is off the menu![]()
It was Dwain on the TV yesterday. I don't know how he spells his name.its fucking Dwayne
and hes a fucking cheat imo

Pedantic aren't we.
Life is hard.
I have no idea, I don't drink coffee. Can't stand it. Is there a reason for the question? Is caffine not a performance enhancing drug then?
Yeah, how awful- people learning there are consequences to shit behaviour.Agreed with this part 100%. Fucking backwards country we live in.
Dwain Chambers' colleagues have a problem with him disgracing the sport, lying, costing them medals- what a surprise.Whether he runs or not, I don't really care, but what I have noticed is how horrible, petty and vindicative Athletics is as a sport.
A Parade of atheletes of measure too, not non-entities, all coming out with the most hateful bile I have seen in a long time. Athletics in this country comes across as a cliquey nasty bunch.
Glad I never watch it to be honest.
Would he get the same level of sympathy if he was a drunk driver?
Arguing against Chambers because you don't like the rules is just vindictive. He's not responsible for the rules and has taken his punishment. Why then should he be the subject of some juvenile hate campaign? Because other atheletes can't now beat him they just drag up his past misdemeanour. Is that what you would call sportsmanship?Yeah, how awful- people learning there are consequences to shit behaviour.
Dwain may have done his 'time' but he isnt fit to run and reresent this country. If Dawin wants to run, let him do it in Belgrave colours and not for Team GB.
Why dont the Americans let Marion Jones, Kelli White or Justin Gatlin run? Fuck it, let 'em run.
If dope cheats are allowed to do their time and come back- suddenly athletics is like pro-cycling, no credibility what-so-ever, and the rewards in cycling mean that doping isnt just an accetable risk, its de-rigeur.

Perhaps if you watched the sport and understood the issues, you would actually have a clue what you were talking about.

Let him run ffs. He might win us a meddle.
Maybe it's because all these athletes who were clean are mighty pissed off that a drug cheat is dragging the name of the sport into the gutter! Maybe if you watched it you'd have a clue what you were talking about.Whether he runs or not, I don't really care, but what I have noticed is how horrible, petty and vindicative Athletics is as a sport.

Why shouldn't he represent this country if he's clean, served his time and good enough? Do we just write people off then? Tell them to fuck off with no hope of redemption.
He hasn't served his time tho, that the court case is about to have his punishment quashed.
Vindictive? Hate campaign? No, its called consequence. Dwain Chambers chose this path. He cynically chose his coach and coaching team *because* of their prowess with doping. He cheated colleagues out of medals, pride and prize money. He lost them medals ffs- they to give back their medals. Dwain chose this, it was not foisted on him. It is not a past 'misdemenaour' - in his profession he committed the worst crime possible.Arguing against Chambers because you don't like the rules is just vindictive. The level of spite for the level of crime is out of whack. Did he kill anyone, did he hurt anyone, did he do much else besides cheat at a sport? Yes that isn't nice, but it doesn't deserve the level petty nastiness heaped upon him by various atheletes in the news.
If you dont 'get it', go find something else you dont know about to comment on because there are people who actually give a shit about this sport on this thread.
The court case is to overturn a lifetime ban that only exists for UK athletes; no other country does this. So what's the problem. But not for spelling obviously!

His behaviour since getting caught has been shameful. Instead of laying low and getting on with things, we've had bitchy interviews slagging his 4x4 team, publicity stunts in NFL and AF in Germany, then the last fiasco with rugby league. Its all bushit.
Dont be a dick. That is not what I have said.Ah so because he didn't do what YOU wanted him to do, as a filthy criminal, he deserves the vilification he gets.
So again people can't change and we should just write them off forever, yes?
Do you feel this way about real life drug addicts? People in rehab? Or do you reserve this ire for some schmuck who got caught doing something stupid.

Is it his fault the rules for international athletics are so inconsistent?
