the 185 and 176 go up to the horniman museum. No and yes, but I'm not carrying an A-Z - my bag's heavy enough.
I shall try to figure out what buses go where though
It's too far to walk![]()
the 185 and 176 go up to the horniman museum.
it's only the 37 that goes from the hospital, but depending on how far you can walk, it'll only take about 5 minutes to get to lordship lane.
Sorry I got a real hankering to go to the US and used to use Detroit as a hub.

well the 37 will take you to lordship lane
no idea about bus maps, I didn't know there was such a thing![]()

Well piss off back there and give us some peace![]()

The thought of being in a country far away from you has become an even more pleasant thought.![]()

and if I were rich enough, I'd buy your plane ticket - but I'm not![]()

I'll give you the bus fare to Forest Hill later![]()
It's alright, I have a pass. What's in Forest Hill?
The Horniman is that direction.
and there's bits of it that make Dulwich look like Peckham.
Not a lot to do?? Christ on a fucking busted moped Lordy snot!!!!!
For a start there is the hidden gem that is the Horniman Museum, get the 176 on Lordship lane, its just about 5 mins from the hospital - its well cool, if the waethers nice you can sit in the park next door and look at the Peacocks, ave views over ol Lunnun town like
Or stroll up underhill road - again take the 176 and marvell at the spot where the idiot singer from AC/DC drank himself to death
In the village inself of course, as was pointed out earlier is the Dulich picture gallery, this would require the use of the 37 back to North Dulwich station and a change to the P4, bit of a bugger as its not really that far but if yer mobility is currently compromised etc..., the Parks right next door, fine caff by the boating lake, good fer lunch etc.
The charity shop on the Vale by Goose Green is amongst the best for miles, well far better than the total tat of Peckham
Equally you could actually take the 37 and marvel at the sheer number of charnel houses selling totally unidentifiable bits of animal, take in crap movie at the cinema or wander though Netto - after just five minutes in there I promise you will have an entirely different view on what constitutes humanity.
Aye many marvels round that way
You're telling me the posh bits of Detroit are nicer than Dulwich Village? I believe it when I see it!
Dulwich is a popular place with the rich and famous. Margaret Thatcher used to own a house here, Eddie George, Governor of the Bank of England still lives here and Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman own a house right in the village (it cost them £2 Million) although I am not sure what has happened to it since the split up.
Well the buildings aren't as old and are more nouveau riche, but some of the communities on the northside by the lake are a LOT richer than Dulwich. Ann Arbor is practically Detroit (well it takes 45 minutes to drive there from downtown) and that's well nice.
