Dulwich Hamlet vs. Dagenham and Redbridge - 14th July 2015.

You would sell them for more in Lordship Lane

just think such bags are great advertising - whether fans , local school kids or those that want something local (not all mutually exclusive)

But why would you want them sold for more in Lordship Lane...people can get them at the ground...at the proper price!

Photos are up!

I thought attendance was 261 not 361?

Also, re. study in concrete photo...the best bit is that you can still make out the remnants of the 'ERHUN' posters

And no evidence in either set of pics of the young vagabond behind the goal in the 1st half's curious claim that the Dagenham's keeper's cock was hanging out.

Hmm, that pitchero site really downgrades images' quality. :-/
Pitchero is a simple generic site used by many Clubs...it's easy & simple to operate, & whilst there are negatives, those of us who contribute to it find it easy to use, as we're not technologically minded, so while it's not perfect it's best for us to update...

Did we have any updates about those bags being possibly sold? Couldn't attend the game on Tuesday sadly so unaware of anything about them.

Not saying it isn't useful Mishi, I've found it very easy to upload images. May be worth bearing in mind that if the club wants to use a particular image for something then you can ask me and I can email a high-res version.

Presumably hoping to flog them to locals who don't actually go to our matches! A bit like Harry Enfield and his Notting Hill based "I Saw You Coming" shop in Notting Hill. Personally I don't really want non-supporters walking around with them, and then not having a clue about our club when supporters of other teams ask them about the Hamlet. We're not that desperate for a bit of extra cash, are we?

But on the other hand, surely if a few local shops were willing to sell the club's merchandise, it'd help to promote the club locally? A bit of extra cash is never going to be a bad thing either. I struggle to see any real down-side to it.

A lot of football clubs struggle to get any local shops to sell their stuff, because way too many shops (especially the big name sports chains) are only interested in Arsenal, Chelsea, Barca etc. If there are local shops willing to sell Dulwich Hamlet stuff then I think that should only be encouraged.

In a sense of 'helping promote the club locally'...I honestly don't think we need any more promoting locally, rather than 'organically promoted by ourselves from within'...whatever that means! ;)

Non-League clubs simply don't have stuff stocked locally, certainly not at our level, & I don't believe there's a need to do so. If we want to promote locally we need to look at sorting out match posters in shop windows, which has been done over the last couple of seasons, but somewhat sporadically.

Local shops selling this sort of merchandise will simply dilute our profit margin.

It might be possible to find a sympathetic shopkeeper (and/or Hamlet fan) willing to stock items of free though. For example, the Brixton Fightback shirts are available in the deli on Atlantic Road....

True...but to be honest, unlikely...and unless someone has that personal contact/friendship is it really worth the legwork trying to find someone...

Woking have a club shop in the centre of the town.

That's different to working with a local shop though, that is their shop...and a business decision for them. Easier to do,also, as they're not quite a town centre club, & Woking has a small High Street area, with a large catchment & local identity.
