Dulwich Hamlet v Welling Saturday 15th February 2020 KO 3pm

Son of Roy

Tory Scumbag Apparently!
We only managed a 0-0 draw in the away fixture a month ago. Let's see if we can get three points this time. For years Welling were a team two divisions above us but we have come along way of late.

Weather looks like it could be a bit rank on Saturday. Been a while to be fair, had a good run of dry home games since pre Christmas.

Wouldn’t be totally surprised if the pitch is a bit too damp come Saturday, the forecast is horrible.

Don't forget the Walk and Talk, (see other thread) hope some of you can join us. Everyone welcome to do all or just some of the route. 9am start at Welling and then two rest stops at The Red Lion on Shooters Hill and The Talbot at Brockley.

What happened to Welling this season? They haven't done very well. We (Woking) met them in the promotion play-off last year.

Their chairman decided he manage them better than Steve King, then had to appoint a proper manager when they were in the bottom two after half a season. Barely any of King's players from last season are still there, several joined us and a few more are now with King at Dartford.

The latest for SE22 for Saturday is as follows:

The predicted wind speed and rain fall has been reducing. Those gusts do not sound good mind.

Great news that 'Walk and Talk' have been chosen by the club to be the charity partner for Saturdays game. Join us on the walk, come and say hello at the game, or just buy a 50/50 ticket. Cheers

Apparently Eastbourne v Wealdstone was called off due to the risk of the winds causing structural damage.

There doesn't seem to have been that much rain in South London, it's just the bloody winds.
The SSML seems to be encouraging postponement on the basis of potential rather than actual travel issues!

Finished 0-1. Only tested keeper at the end and didn't play the conditions. Welling fan on the way out said we were better side but I think he was being magnanimous!
