1-1 vs the second best team in Europe ffs and should have won. We might need to reign it in this season, dont want to do any thing mental like get promoted again

Thought it was very poor that Smith took the penalty off him after he'd done so well to win it. Interesting that he turned and shouted at our bench, after they'd told him to let Smith have the penalty and he subsequently blazed it over. It already feels fractious.

If Smith was the designated penalty taker then he didn't "take the penalty off" anyone and Yusuff shouldn't have been pushing to take it. I believe Ashley Carew was fined a couple of years ago for allowing Danny Carr to take a penalty in similar circumstances instead of taking it himself. I'd like to think most of our players can convert a penalty but having someone trying to jump the pecking order in the heat of the match doesn't help in my view, and the fact Smith missed doesn't place him at fault for not giving in.
