News to me. I think the London Senior Final may be at our place.
Apart from the few times the League Cup has been two legged it has always been at a neutral venue. For anyone who does not know (and I did not until now), the final is at our gaff
Made hard work of that, they were poor but we didn't really capitalise, indeed we needed Preston to keep us in it at times.
Defence looked like they had just met for the first time (to be fair they probably had, I didn't recognise the no 6 on the team sheet and it was a rare start for Quade Taylor.
Yamfam and RMW both looked good in flashes, and combined brilliantly for the first goal. Sekaja can't get on the end of a byline cross, always seems to just miss the ball.
Gavin clearly wanted to win and used subs to bring on established players rather than trying out new talent (didn't recognise at least one guy on the bench).
That worked, with the second goal being a 3 sub Clunis-Beaney-Tomlin combo.
Tired finish almost saw Faversham get back into it and a draw wouldnt have been an unfair result.

It that fixed, even if we're in it? Would certainly make sense from an attendance point of view, whtough teh oppoosition might object!News to me. I think the London Senior Final may be at our place.
For several years I think it's always been held at a venue with a 3G pitch. Last year it was Carshalton, it was at Maidstone more than once, and I think Whytelefe staged one. Maybe, Worthing, Sudbury or Harlow this year?Ah, think I had a rather confused convo with Mr Primo and you are correct there! Thanks for clarifying that. Do you know where the final of this is?
I'm fairly sure Maidstone played on their own ground one year. They seem to fix a venue in advance these days rather than wait for the finalists to be known and pick somewhere geographically inbetween as they used to.Apart from the few times the League Cup has been two legged it has always been at a neutral venue.

I would find it rather strange to have the League cup final at a club that didn't play in our league ...........
It won't be. I think the League like having it on a 3G pitch as the date can be set in stone, and there's no danger of having to reschedule at a time (it's usually last Wednesday in March) when clubs are sometimes struggling to fit in a backlog of fixtures.I would find it rather strange to have the League cup final at a club that didn't play in our league ...........
The date for the next round, quarter finals, away to AFC Hornchurch has now been fixed for Tuesday 31st January. That means the Merstham game has been postponed. There's no new date for that as yet as Merstham are still in both the League Cup and the Surrey Senior Cup both of which would take precedence.

Probably better to have this game four days before Braintree than a league match. The date for the next round, quarter finals, away to AFC Hornchurch has now been fixed for Tuesday 31st January.
