Dulwich Hamlet away to Wingate & Finchley 28/3/2015 1pm kick off

Think Mishi summed it up pretty well near the end for today's performance, unsure what exactly happened. Tank didn't perform all game, at times he was extremely frustrating. We didn't really attack, we seem to just pass around the 18 yard box.

Wingate performed well, though. Weren't fantastic, but capitalised on our obvious faults.

Not a classic match for either side I imagine, but more fun for us. Obviously I have to attend W&F more often!

Please may I say a huge thank-you to everyone at Dulwich Hamlet FC for their support yesterday. I spoke to a number of home fans and neutrals who were full of praise for the way your club and fans conducted themselves. It is an absolute pleasure to forge a relationship with people who embrace so many positive values.

I speak on behalf of everyone at Wingate & Finchley FC when I wish Dulwich Hamlet all the best for the remainder of the season. If you guys don’t make Conference South, we look forward to playing you in the near future.

Cheers Mike, was a good day out bar the result. All the best for the remainder of the season.

Thanks Mike, it was an enjoyable day at your place despite our result!

On a lighter note, my friend who I brought along with me (ze Arsenal fan) and he felt like us fans didn't act like we lost, it was like we won. He loved our support, and is happily looking forward to the next game I attend as he hopes to tag along as well if he is free.

That was painful to watch, still another new ground for me and a nice one to watch football. I wasn't expecting to go yesterday and still glad I did despite the result and I picked up a really nice book from the stall in the bar.

Poxy journey home though, nearly 2 hours.

I'm not quite sure what happened there. That was a very confusing afternoon. I was kidnapped, almost gave head and then ended up in a North London Weatherspoons for six hours.

And Dulwich lost.

Random words and pics.

See you at Witham

Accept the result(s), that were wonderful 24 hours of the mighty DHFC for me! Thanks a lot to all of you, who made me feel so welcome (met me, spoke with me, drank with me, sang with me, offered me a bed (and breakfast!), played football for me, counted stickers with me, gave me fanzines, bought my fanzine,...), ...again!

:)

MikeWinFin: Are you responsible for the club badge, that was handed out to me through a young Fulham supporter? If so: Thanks a lot!!! I think I was standing next to you some times, when you talked with Mishi and Shaun, but you seemed to be very busy so I missed to talk to you.

Proud that are fans are getting the respect they deserve
we respect all (unless your a fascist/sexist/racist)

and nice that Wingate & Finchley fan (Mike) should take the time to post that

Watching should be enjoyable as possible for all

shame about the result, (in fact was really upset to see it) but we will move forward

Still think we will make play offs

just need to keep our unity on and off the pitch

... he's obviously not found out about the wall we broke!!

"Proud that are fans are getting the respect they deserve

Please don't include me in that bracketed bit...there are other fans who I might not respect (a generalisation, both our fans and from other clubs) who might not fall in your brackets, but DO fall in the all encompassing 'bit of an arsehole'...right up to 'complete tosser'. And yes, I am aware some might think I am well within that spectrum, as just typed by me. But, hey, each to their own...I have a broad back! ;)

With regard to Mike & his fellow fans at Wingate & Finchley, it only goes to show that you don't need numbers behind the goal to try to be a part of your local community. In the main we're not a fanbase to go on about 'is that all you take away' or 'shit ground, no fans' sort of thing. And I'd hate that to creep in. If it does I'd hope it would be nipped in the bud, with Wingate & Finchley held up as an example of 'quality not quantity'.

Haven't heard anything along the lines of 'shit ground, no fans' etc myself but there you go.

Also worth pointing out that we didn't break the wall, but that we found out it was broken. Just needs a few bolts in it. Am sure someone said they were going to email L & W to let them know.

Aside from what happened on the pitch I thought that Saturday was a good day, with everyone behaving themselves perfectly well.

Sorry, I wasn't implying that anyone sang 'shit ground etc' sort of thing, but there have been one or two mutterings/attempts of this sort of thing, aimed at low away support, at a few of our home games. With a lot of new fans they might not realise we generally don't sing this sort of thing...

No, I know what you mean Mishi. I'm sure that sort of thing will be self-policed if it comes about. Not sure there'll be too many new fans to be concerned about with this current run of results though!

One of my favourite parts of the day was a bunch of us on the tube singing a loud and heart-breaking version of Waterfalls by TLC for a young lady on her way to a night of karaoke.

Speaking of which, DHFC karaoke night out sometime anyone?
