Pigeons are basically doves and 'dove' in Italian means 'where is it'? Obvious really.

Pigeons are not doves...in any language or country.

This needed it's own thread really, especially in light of the outrageous pigeon head incident.

Pigeons and doves constitute the bird family Columbidae, which includes about 310 species. Pigeons and doves are stout-bodied birds with short necks, and short slender bills (and in some species, these bills feature fleshy ceres). ... In general, the terms "dove" and "pigeon" are used somewhat interchangeably.

On the internet so must be true.

Nope. They are not the same.
See below for the 4 main differences.

The are members of the same family so it is unfair of you to try and break up the family in this way. What has the poor pigeon done to bring about such divisive behaviour? Shouldn't we try to see beyond trivial differences and celebrate the things that unite doves and pigeons? Such as a love of corn and the ability to coo. You can probably tell I know I have lost the argument and am just rambling to cover that up.

Hate to tell you but I didn't break them up.
They don't associate with each other and haven't done so for a very very long time.
The doves turned snobby many moons ago.

Fucking hell I see the budget has been a big give away to landlords the Vulture funds must be sucking themselves off in glee. I mean seriously how much more fucking naked can the introduction of 100 per cent mortgage interest relief for landlords be.

There is a simple solution to every complex problem...

    Off with their heads.

krtek a houby how's it going to end?

And the pigeon would garner more sympathy.

Meanwhile, Sinn Fein's Eoin O Broin has been on Eoghan Murphy's case for ages on the whole housing situation.

this budget "has an increase in capital spend for housing of just €120m on existing 2019 commitments. 490 extra social houses & a paltry €14m extra for affordable housing. So much for a housing budget!"

Not only is there nothing extra for housing the Corporate tax reform proposal will generate 0, yep zero million. Donohoe put that in the budget, must have been trying to fill the time.
