I was offered a lift home the other night by a drunk "mate"

Told him to fuck right off and that I hope he gets arrested on his way home

He applogised to me the next day,and told me that he'd left his car in town that night and got a cab.

Fuck all excuse for getting behind the wheel pissed.

And as this conversation has moved on,I'm just laughing at Tobyjug cos he's got to be a parody.

Well, obviously nobody on Urban would do that, because we're all so right on and everything, but you soon see people biting their tongues at their oh-so deeply held beliefs on drink driving when the alternative is for them to be left in the cold.

Very true, faced with a long cold walk home, I think people are likely to to overlook it with things like "the've only had a couple" or "they're a good driver and will drive carefuuly" but hear about the next death caused by it and they will scream just as loudly as everyone else.

then i have walked in that situation as i'm sure have many an urbanite or slept some where slightly bizzare railway station barn field hedge ditch etc... so but to a person regardless drinking and driving is a cunt's trick...

when i worked as a holiday rep on the way to the pub was prescisely the period which 5 lads could demolish a bottle of cheapo vodka at the point of peak usuage and empty bottleage was a fun fair with go carts on it every night with out fail we'd go on em every night with out failed we'd total each other the circuit the carts or end up bent really out of shape...

the problem was never the going straight it was the goign round courners and gauging distances and braking reactions...

in fact dispite being quite shit faced i learned alot as to why drinking and driving is wrong by doing this in a realitly safe enviroment, i can assure you it's not fucking worth it.... really!!

The only time i have driven over the limit was taking some one with a fracture skull and pissing blood everywhere to a hosptial, had there been an ambulance or indeed anyone more sober then i wouldn't have, though it was one drive where i was accutely aware of the shit that was going on and also how fucking pissed i was, if oyu asked me to do it again i'd have to think twice... that's for sure...

they're SO lucky to be alive when you see pics of the wreckage- he got off scott free

he wasnt bothered about all the speeding + points he racked up, his ex took all the points
it was her car
they broke up
he doesnt have a car atm so we're all safe for the time being

slap on the wrists
they held him till his blood alcohol was back down again
(in fairness, it was early morning to beat the traffic + was unfortunate it was still in hi system from the night before)

another totalled his car on a zebra crossing
no injuries- hes on probation

how fucking wrong is it?!

some countries just dont care

why they dont try D+D as manslaughter/attempted manslaughter i dont know
