Tune of the moment for me ...

Q-Project 'Jungle is Dead'

I listened to that a couple of days ago. I assumed it was totally ironic, a kind of Nas-esque comment on the status quo. Is it being played out? Didn't John B do something similar a while back?

Blandwagon Poos? the twisted individual take the piss.. i prefer the twisted tune just for its pure shitty cheek

'Blandwagon Poos' showed Twisted up for the *yawn*athon he is - have you heard the Hardcore-Breaks response by Enzyme - 'Bandwagon 92s' :D

Best dnb night in the country imho, it was the swing factor for me moving ot portsmouth:

They do the odd night here too, which are fucking wicked but it can be a pain in the arse getting home if you want to leave early as my ex found out

Think that's what the hardcore-breaks scene (2fresh records etc) have been trying to do for the last few years - started off good but the quality seems to of gone down hill rapidly!

Kicks Like A Mule have started producing/DJing again - am gonna check 'em out at Bestival! :D

New tracks/remixes here: http://www.myspace.com/kickslikeamule

been a while since i checked this thread, gonna check these out now ta :)

isn't tc's drink singularly one of the most awful tunes eh...there's a few mixes up on the dsb site too, including a breakage one which is pretty good... here's the only link i've got for them...

So, quick bump for this ever interesting thread...

It's a bit old, and I've had it a while now, but 'Tricks' by Gridlok on Violence Records...fucking amazing bodyrock tunage...

Gridlok is one of my favs at the mo' - check out his 'break the system' album if you haven't already

I'm after some natty, rudebwoy style jump-up with lots of hip hop/ragga sampling, mashup basslines and fierce MC-ing...any reccs kids?

On that mix, 48mins in - Commix - Japaneses Electronics (Inst:ra:mental remix)

After a min, when the bass kicks in.....oh my gosh.

The original was the flip to Commix - Be True. Best tune of the year IMO.

For dark stuff check out Commix, Tech Itch and Klute, for techie dnb you can't go far wrong with Concord Dawn, BSE and Dom&Roland. More lighter dnb - check out Marcus Intalex, Subfocus, Logistics and Craggz & Parallel Forces.

The big hitters though are Ram Trilogy, Mampi Swift, Aphrodite, Ed Rush & Optical for me - also check out these labels:

Renegade Hardware
Virus Recordings
Creative Source
Metalheadz
