nah, it's dead from the receivers end but there is still a transmittion there ready to be picked up, switched on, whatever you call it. If it was dead as a dodo then it would not matter if you mess with magnets in the vicinity. Since it is a nice expensive tele that is just not switched on you leave the magnety playing out because you don't want to spend 2 mopnths wages on a new receiver

and perhaps not you, but generally i would say that people do need experts to tell them how their brains/minds work.. introspection and common-sense don't begin to get near how weird and wonderful the brain is.

and people who say their personal experiences provide the best evidence of telepathy, life after death, the soul, little baby jesus are no better than solipsists.
