Drug dealing scumbags

local resident
If there's ever been a good reason to generally smarten up and dare I say it gentrify certain areas of Brixton, the vile parasites that hang around the corner of Saltoun Road and Windrush square must certainly be it. These sorry vermin crawl 0out at night and sell crack to junkies, and the cops do nothiong about it. Last night some pathetic junkie was sitting on my doorstep at 4 am getting high on my property. My girlfriend had to ask him to get ou the way so she could get through the front door. What a complete waste of space. This hopeless specimen actually asked her if he had to move. Well yes he did. And the cops should bust the wankers who sell him the stuff at the end of the road. If this is what keeping it real in Brixton is all about, then the sooner some developer that decrepit old shooting gallery by the square into luxury flats the better. The cops are cowards, the dealers the worst kind of lowlife and the junkies are sub-human.

Thanks for the feedback - can't remember my old username so had to re-register recently. Used to post a bit back in '02. And if not wanting some fucker smoking crack on my doorstep makes me a twat then what the hell I'm a dirty great dripping gash. This place hasn't changed much, has it? :p

goldman has a point though even if they push some of the wrong buttons in making it.

do I want crackheads smoking on my doorstep? i'd prefer they did it somewhere else to be honest. i don't think that makes me illiberal

of course, developing rundown properties into yuppie flats (for people like me ;) ) is no solution for people with drug problems or homelessness. but i can see how having crackheads and dealers outside your house day after day, night after night may stretch your tolerance

OK maybe when I made the original post it was a bit inflammatory - it was written in anger and frustration at the total absence of any policing on my street.
I wasn't simply trying to be a wind up merchant. I actually called the cops and asked them what their attitude to the problem was and they basically said the were aware of it and were conducting undercover investigations. Uniformed patrols just made the scumbags piss off for five minutes before coming back and carrying on.
They then asked me if I could go down the station for an innterview - seems like they were looking for some kind of stooge. Reporting a junkie on your property is a bit different from becoming a spy for the police. I declined.
Anyway I'm not fussed if people think I'm a tosser for these opinions. The run down old building on the corner of the square is some sort of Mecca for hard drug users, that's why the dealers hang around there. If it was regeenerated, it would be a start to ridding the neighbourhood of this desease.

well done goldman half of these wankers who post here
live in surbiton... and think police who arrest crack-head

Crack dealers I understand; but sub-human scumbags, why do you use these words? You need to get out of the city before you crack up yourself.

:) i was agreeing with you,,,

I can understand people getting pissed off by having drug dealers on their doorstep,,,
but the users are in such a dark hole and really need help,,

yes, yes, you're quite right.

Potential what? Potential grown-up one day? Potential as a traffic calming measure?

Really? I've never read any posts like that ...

If you think we're all such wankers, why don't you just piss off? :)

yeah, coz they ask to be in that position dont they,,,,

I echo trashys post

OK - hard drug use bad, addiction's a disease et etc, but this gut the other night actually seemed a bit put out when asked to move from my doorway. He had all his stash laid out, was settling in for the evening and was genuinely reluctant to fuck off somewhere else so my girlfriend could actually get through the front door. Wasn't rude or threateninng, just a pain in the arse. And if you actually know anyone that's got seriously into crack then you might agree that their basic human traits quickly disappear. Replaced by junkie hunger mentality. They could get into rehab, get off the street - difficult to feel sympathetic.
