As someone who has just made the switch to 2 wheels after a decade on four (for cost reasons not environmental) it is sometimes hard to know just where to put yourself to allow traffic to get past.
Sometimes you simply have no option but to hold the lane until you reach a point where it is wide enough for everyone to pass without giving you a wing-mirror up the arse!
Gyratories and other multi-lane systems can be a nightmare.
