Dress for some weddings

But I reckon that for a more formal wedding it would be worn with a jacket or cardigan or something, and if the back were covered and if the dress were dressed up with smart accessories it would look quite brown polka dotted dress in 'Pretty Woman'-ish - but in red, of course. I reckon it would do for a more formal wedding if the cover up and accessories were okay. Wouldn't it?

i wouldn't wear scarlet at most weddings, tbh. especially as i take up a lot of space in the photos to start with.

Yep the shape of number two is flattering for the curvier figure, I bought one similar the other day but with little cup sleeves.
I just love number four though, it's gorgeous.

ooh really - that shape is my favourite for me - but I'd like some dresses like that with sleeves, Dorothy Perkins went through a phase of doing them in a cheap jersey but no longer - where did you get it?

Blimey - mixed bag of opinions :D

I'm a 16-18 but the problem is always my boobs. An 18 from Monsoon just about takes my boobs - really I should get a 20 but it just ends up being enormous round my tummy (even though it is also massive :o:D).

I'm sure you want to buy new but I have several dresses in that size after being invited to 13 weddings last year - if you get desperate and want to borrow...:D

They're mostly halterneck though .... one cobalt blue, one black (both Coast) and one black with giant white polka dots and a net skirt (not halterneck) - and then a few other slightly more dressed down dresses.

13 weddings. :D

Two of my cousins... two of his, his uncle's... our own wedding - that's 6 right there just with family.

Then lots and lots of friends. We didn't make them all as loads were in August when we were on honeymoon. Some weekends there'd be two the same weekend so gaijinboy'd go to one and me to the other!

gotta be 2

lovely print, not too loud, very vintage Hollywood look, not too "look at me", manages to be sexy, glamorous and understated al at the same time

the only concern would be that the waist is a small as it looks as sometimes they pin them to the mannequin to fit, so when us small waisted women buy them they end up baggy on the waist.

no 1 is the next best IMO, I would not go for 4, simply because polka dots have been in for a while and this year are mostly monochrome, I think red and white is a bit 2 years ago so it won't have the longevity of dress 2

I think 2. Agree with Spangles the 4 is a bit 'dramabomb' (never heard that word before but I'm going to adopt it :D ).

Thank-you all for your opinions. I think I shall get 2 and 4 to try on and see what's what.

I shall update you all with the exciting results

4, followed by 4, followed by 4. It's a completely gorgeous dress and I think with a more sober jacket it would be suitable for formal weddings.
