Dragon's Den - do you find any of the dragons attractive?

well he's not remotely 'rugged' but there's something intriguing about him
the phrase "still waters run deep" comes to mind
yeah well I was a bit jealous of him for a moment, he's good looking, intelligent, very wealthy, and still able to be a nice guy in a ruthless environment. Would strike me as scoring pretty highly even if he is wearing a suit!

I don't think Theo's that impolite is he? He's just honest.

Bannatyne is occasionally quite scathing in a muaudlin way, a bit like Tom Paulin, but I find both of them charming and must conclude that I have soft spot for misery gutses.

The woman is the most scary of all of them, although she has an air of confident efficiency about her and I'm sure she's a good business woman.

They are all in the exploitation game.

So i can't think of any of them as nice people.

Sure the Aussie is polite - but so what.

It is compelling viewing though, precisely because it is so nasty on many levels.

He's the only one I have any real dislike for.

Did you see the look in his eyes when he ripped up that baby-seat sticker (not last week, week before)? He almost made the pitcher cry. It wasn't a 'honest' 'this product is seriously defective' (which it was), but went out of his way to demean the guy IMO.

I see the others as being far more balanced. They'll be straight when they dislike something, but will give praise when its deserved - regardless of whether or not they want to invest in a product; like when Peter Jones offered the American fella selling the 'Cu-top' a job.

I agree. for some reason he seems to be personally affronted by a poor prototype or pitch. that was a good invention, with one serious but correctable flaw. he didn't need to be so scornful about it... IMO

Hold on

The whole point of the product was that it saved children's lives and Theo showed that the product, which was already being used by parents, could choke a child.

I don't hink he was being horrible, just pointing out something really serious that needed to be sorted out before any children were harmed

Under the circumstances I wouldn't call it overly dramatic or mean, just understandable, especially as he's a parent himself

it was just *the way* he did it... I still think it was an excellent product, that just needed strengthening... but then, I'm not bein' asked to invest £100 grand in it...;)

I've only seen one show but it seems like just another tv format for humiliating people.

Cunts. All of them.

Aye, like the X-Factor it is a show largely about gleefully crushing peoples dreams

I used to like it but I'm getting bored fast. The thing about DD is it's all a bit Innovations catalogue, trying to find some cheesy invention that everyone will want because that's what they think makes good TV.

You could come along with a fantastic business idea for a new manufacturing technique for the best margarine ever based on the science of emulsions and you wouldn't get anywhere.

It's also penny-ante stuff, the proper VC outfits don't look at anything requiring less than £2m seed captial.

IMO Peter Jones has the best business head, but then he's worth more than the rest put together. I wouldn't share a lunch with Paphitis or the Meaden let alone a business.

For undetermined reasons, I *heart* Peter Jones.
you know, I mis-read that as 'for undisclosed reasons'... it's been bugging me for weeks, what the undisclosed reasons might be... and now I see there aren't any. I'll have to find some other trivia to mull over...

btw, he is massive isn't he?! I mean, really big an' tall...

I like seein' him in the 'where are they now?' shows. I think you see a softer side to him, and I like that...

6ft 7in, apparantly. purr!

I thought this had been bumped due to Bannatyne being on livingtv this evening. Seems not. :)
