This sounds interesting - and they link to urban so they mist be alright!
(I've written to them about the possibility of doing a mini Offline there too!)

This year sees the tenth annual Dragon Festival in Cigarrones, near Orgiva. Possibly Europe's largest and longest running free festival, the Fiesta del Dragon takes place on the 17th to 19th of March to celebrate the arrival of the Spring Equinox. Thousands of people will gather to enjoy three days and nights of anarchic and vibrant contemporary culture

Nobody pays for a ticket for the Dragon Festival. Its FREE. To make the Green Dragon everything it could be we need help and support. We need artists, musicians, solar and wind power specialists, toilet diggers, gardeners, refuse pickers etc etc.

A driving force behind the organisation of this festival, from what I hear, are the many exiled British travellers (New Age branch ;) ) and ex-travellers in the area, working with Spanish festival lovers to keep this going.

Will add this one to the list in my next big edit!

Doubt we can make it though ... :(

Maybe next year!

Sounds good...

Will it be an Autonomous Healing Space?

I don't know but "A team of grounded individuals will maintain a strong energy flow around about the space ..." apparently ...

I got as far as the phrase "Healing Space" on the web site and started to feel queazy ...

It's only a space, an easily avoided corner ... presumably there's a beer and wine tent onsite in the opposite direction :p ;)

Warning : HIPPIES LLEGADOS ... :D

Check Dragon Festival website for enlargeable/legible version ...

It's an occupational hazard of festivals.

I autonomously self-heal myself of any temptation to go near, by chanting the mantra :

Workshop ---> Beer Tent :p

theres also the anti-dragonfest teknival.. though there will be some tekno rigs at the actual dragonfest... was hoping to go but can't make it

Well, it is a free festival, innit? Al that healing shoit comes with the territory (although Glasto and now the Big Chill come with preinstalled Healing Spaces.)

thats really weird, some friends own a house in orgiva which we spent time in when i was a kid. it was a tiny blip on a very big map and nobody ever went there.

there'll be no hippy bollocks at the teknival...

I know somebody who used to be a professional chess player in a little town called San Benito in the south of Spain. She said much the same.

Lives in Cheam now.

It's not my bag at all, but given the choice between a load of dribbling ketamine munters crawling around my feet and someone waving around a crystal stick in a fairy dress or whatever, I'd go for the latter.

At least they're easier to ignore.

that looks shit. :p

But then again as somebody who actually doesn't like wallowing in filth at squat parties, maybe I'm a bit biased. :)

Actually I reckon the chakra crew and the k kru are as bad as each other, in their own ways. They're two sides of the same debased coin. :p

there's surprisingly few fuck ups at teks really- just friendly people having a good time without any pretentious bollocks (though the whole 23 thing is a bit silly..)...from what i've heard though the dragonfest isn't too bad for hippiness and there should be a fair few rigs there to counteract the jugglers anyway ;)

have you ever been to a teknival? they're a lot different from standard grimey parties...

Ahh you say that but what if they have flutes? Fairy dress sounds

Sounds like a reasonable balance to me!!

But presumably the AntiDragon has been set up because (in the antis' view) there aren't enough rigs allowed at the main one?

Why so conrontational/rejectionist?
