Drag Me To Hell - Sam Raimi

I think this film looks bloody good, but unfortunately I find it hard to enjoy horror films just cos I don't like being scared :(

I often end up hiding behind my hands, I wish I could handle them though, I assume my friends will wana go to this so I will try my best to watch it

Non glory but shit-scary films like Devil's Backbone or The Others are fucking fantastic. I get an almost drug-like rush from the adrenaline.

I thought it was great; well acted, well directed, creepy and funny. Bit gutted to hear some other lucky people got buttons though!

me and jtg thought it was a bit rubbish. by then end we were just giggling at the back at how ridiculous some of it was.

This film is funny, scary and brilliant. I enjoyed it every bit as much as when I first saw Armies of Darkness in the cinema - back then I had never seen a proper horror or zombie film before and it blew my mind. Now many years later and having seen it all before, I left Drag meto Hell with a broad smile on my face.

S'alright, not great. The funny stuff was a lot better than the scary stuff. Alison Lohman is hot.

Also, the twist is pants. Saw it from a mile off.

drag him off, not her

Really liked it. Kind of felt like Sam Raimi being all "Sorry about Spiderman everyone. But it's ok, I'm doing horror again now". First time a scary movie has actually scared me in a long long time too.

i enjoyed it, it was good old fashioned horror film. didn't feel like it was all about the special effects...and even when you were expecting the scary stuff to happen still made you jump. worth a watch

Good film! Question, did her boyfriend see her being dragged to hell or was he just traumatised by seeing her dying and only we saw her being pulled under?

Same here. Watched it yesterday. Hadn't heard much about it so wasn't expecting much. Made me laugh quite alot as well as be disgusted with it's hilarious effects. Very Evil Dead, but then you find out the director.

I'd say this is more refined of the same from evil dead, but with a different narrative. Gonna watch it again before I send it back, to consider whether I'd watch it in near future (tu purchase in dvd form)

But yes recommend, recommend!
It's not too serious, and it's not overly cheesy.

End how I started and as rikwakefield said ^
"Best horror film I have seen for a long long time"

I saw this tonight on DVD and thought that it started off being vary scary, but then became less scary as it moved into Evil Dead squelchy eyeballs territory (I always thought that the splatter gore elements of horror films are funny, like Tom and Jerry for grown ups). The last half hour or so was like an updated version of Night of the Demon 1957 (which was an excellent film marred only by the appearance of the demon - which was a bit shit - at the end).

All in all superior horror and I especially enjoyed the first half hour.
