We don't get to see the Christmas special until June

I'm sure you could find it online somewhere.

Big meh.
More mawkish rubbish.

Yes.
Was considering adding a 'disappointing' tag to thread.
Hammier than a ham sandwich sprinkled with fragments of Hammy the hamster and soya-based ham substitute, soaked in ham fat.

Tbhi was watching it while really drunk, so i didn't notice it being THAT bad! It was just what i expect from Russell, which isn't really a compliment.
I think all the specials next year are written by Davies, then Moffat takes over in 2010.

you should have seen who they asked to do Morrisey's part originallyI thought that the scripting for Morrissey could have done with serious work,

it was quite a late decision to cast morrissey in the end

Thing is, the Doctor Who crew always ask the huge names first - on the grounds that they might as well ask, even if there's only a snowball's chance in hell that the actor will say yes. They originally went to Judi Dench for Queen Victoria in that werewolf one, for instance. And they asked Hugh Grant if he wanted to play the Doctor when the series was first revived. Depp was clearly a long shot; even when he did The Fast Show he only did, what, two scenes? The Next Doctor was a lead role in a major shoot.well johnny depp turned the part down

Best of the Christmas specials yet, I think.
