Don't worry Man Utd fans you have still got this for next season....

I haven't mentioned his name here. There's no harm done.

One of his usual arguments is about supporting the team you grew up with, as is Tarranau and yours a few times I think, I was simply trying to ask where he was born? No harm in that is there really.

If someone says to me my surname doesn't sound Polish, I'm hardly gonna jump at them and call them a racist.. :D

I didn't say you mentioned his name, I said you brought his name into it.

And I don't think it's up to you to say if there's any harm done or not.

Fairplay to the lad Relahni. He's wound people up into a stage of nagging outrage, despite almost certainly having attended more live games than those having a minor hissy hypofit against him. You can't blame a bloke for being less passionate or inclined to spend his money schlepping halfway across the country now, especially with the expense and a young family to support.

That's surely a different class to those who've never been to see the team or watched at the home ground of a club they foam and rage on about here. Jumped up folks pontificating large and wetting themselves in agreement over what Andy Gray said on the tellybox with his pens and screen swipes. Or those who breathlessly retype exactly what they've seen on Sky Sports onto urban within minutes, unbothered by the possible tension of going outside.

The premiership's flood of silly money and huge debts does make it less palatable to me too, more disconnected from its roots - big brands battling it out, with associated loudmouth goons feverishly battling it out on the internet about their beloved teams they've never bothered to see. It's all deliciously ridiculous really - who can blame someone for taking the piss?
;)

He's a retired man these days, like an Army Colonel ready to step back in to the 'A' Team, or perhaps take up new part time employment as a chef on a nuclear warship.

He's already had the t-shirt and ticket stubs before the Sky Subscription. He's a veteran ready to step off the armchair at any time. Men against boys.

Why don't you go and watch AFC wimbledon then....would have thought it right up your street

I've been to see AFC a few times?

Never been quite the same for me if I'm honest, but I must give it another try next season. I'd like to feel the same passion for AFC that a certain notable Urban poster feels for FCUM these days, turning their back on MUFC despite years of traveling support and season tickets.

No I bloody do not.

I used to have one when football was good, before posh boys like Kanda got into it.

Think 1992 was my last season ticket.

I did have an opportunity to buy a season ticket a few seasons ago. But turned it down. Had the chance to go to Istanbul, but turned it down. Had the chance to go to the FA cup final where we beat West Ham, but turned it down.

Oh the ironing...

So not only do you not go, even when you have the chance to swan on over for the big games (charlie), you don't.

You then post a picture of an inflatable chair, I presume as an "armchair supporter" dig, when you yourself don't even go.

Well done, you plum.

Next........

Yep all United fans are out of town glory supporters....

I mean it's not like in 1974-75 we were in division 2 and still had the highest average attendance (48,388) in football league (including div 1).

Don't let "the facts" get in the way of a good ABUism.

The facts are that 99% of all man utd fans haven't even been to see man utd.

It's a fact.

Fair dinkum.

I think relahni's talking about all the people from the SE of england who support man u / liverpool, have never even been to the ground, and so on.

Gawd, these man utd fans are so angry. Anyone would have thought they had just flogged their best player on the back of a humiliating loss.

Really?

what utter bullshit

anyway

who fucking cares.

i don't speak for them, and theres fuck all I can do about it if othe4rs decide to support a team and never go to matches

If you want to specifically have a pop and an individual urban poster about not going to old trafford then do so.

But spouting off at us that have been, and trying to tar us with the same brush as those that haven't been. Is just boring, tiresome, ignorant ranting.

and it makes you look a fool, bowing down to a predictable stereotype

Nothing humiliating about being the second best team in europe and losing to the best team.

No other team were even good enough to get to the final

this thread is both hilarious and a bit disturbing :hmm:

you should all just leave your anger with your therapists, and support QPR - you know you wanna....

Humiliating loss? 2 - 0, in a European Cup Final? Behave.

You're so obsessed by us you've started several threads about a soon to be ex Man United player, you're a tad obsessed I'd say.

I didn't miss a competitive match for about 4 years and went off and was a season ticket holder for yonks before that. Not been to Old Trafford since I moved to Australia no, but I did manage to do a 3 day trip to Moscow from Sydney and then back again....

Not gutted, relieved like most reds that we don't have to endure a endless summer of will he won't he shite, anyone connected to the club has known this has been coming. Compared to when Cantona left, this doesn't even come close.

United went on without Cantona, Beckham, Keane.

Exciting time's at Old Trafford, we've got a number 7 shirt to fill.

And Fergie can stop playing Rooney on the fucking wing to accommodate Ronny finally.

I've had a season ticket at Sheff Utd for bout 15 years now, and got one for next season as well. I've been all the way down to Rushden & Diamonds for a shitty FA Cup away match, I've felt like my toes were freezing off on Tuesday night matches in December watching my shit team lose every week. I've seen my team lose three play off finals at all three stadiums they've been held at - that's about the biggest achievement my club has made during my lifetime. I've seen Sheff Utd lose numerous FA/League cup semi-finals. I've seen some pretty good players sold to line the chairman's pockets. We got relegated from the Prem twice in controversial circumstances and nobody cares. Last season Sheffield Wednesday did the double over us for the first time in 96 sodding years!

Now I've got a message for all you armchair fans arguing with each other on this thread over who is the least worst fan - being a proper football fan is shit. It's fucking shit and I hate it. Every year I really really don't want to renew my season ticket but I do because I'm too far gone. All logic has left my head when it comes to football. Every season there's this part of my brain sayin "this year we'll go up, on paper we're a good team" etc etc. Well in my 20+ years as a Sheff Utd fan guess how many times that voice proved right? TWICE! Ha! And when we did go up that voice just started acting even more like a dick telling me if we just survive then we're on course to become a massive club, after all, Sheffield's bigger than the majority of towns hosting a Premiership club, why should Man City be able to attract 50k+ and not us? Then we get relegated and the dream shatters.

Then Bryan Robson becomes the manager.

I envy you armchair fans I really do, so please don't argue about being proper fans because I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Just pick a team you're going to enjoy supporting because 90% of the time you see them they win (and win trophies) and be happy and at peace with yourself, don;t expose yourself to the turmoil, the pain, the hatred that proper fans are subjected to every day of their life...

Good post.

Hilarious bit about Bryan Robson. I have got a lot of time for Sheffield United. Absolutely robbed by the Premier League and have the best football song of all time imo of course.
