The whole point in incarcerating people for crimes is so they can spend the rest of their lives reflecting upon what they have done. You appear to be under the illusion that prisons are some kind of holiday camp. The suicide rates suggest otherwise. Miscarriages of justice are easier to be corrected when the subject is still alive. If someone is imprisoned for the rest of their lives then that will be the place that they will die.

The state shouldn't have the power over life and death of its citizens. Thankfully in the UK that isn't the case. It's also hypocritical to avenge violence with violence. That isn't justice.

When they lop off the heads of those Muslims who decapitated those Christian schoolgirls then I will say the govt, is right and exact. they are corrupt as all hell and pro-Islamic to a large degree.

I also have to add that while I am glad you will not allow your daughter to be cricumcised (per your comment), it is almost universal among Muslims there. That said, it is not as in Africa and Arab lands. They merely lance the clitoris in most cases but it is still aiming for the same repression of female secuality and I despise them for it.

HOWEVER, I agree with their executing the 2 and only wish they had done it sooner and done it painfully. that they waited these years is very troublesome.


I live on Mindanao and even though the govt. here assasinates people on the regular, most Muslim guerillas are deep in their own areas except when raiding and so there is no come uppance in almost every case. Were they to go after them and make them face justice it would definitely act as a deterrant I feel. Sadly they never will. Glad indonesia can do this little bit though.

I only know the basic of the murder of those girls but it was clearly a bastard of a thing to do. Also remember that the Christian side did some nasties as well.
There is a big problem here with corruption but it's getting better with a group called the KPK bring officials to court. I've had the problem myself with the visa last year but the bastard has now been moved on and is under investigation. The new lot are straight.
Of course the government here is pro Islamic. It's a 90% Muslim country with a government to suit.
FGM is illegal here and getting less of a problem but still happens. It will not happen to my daughter.
I see on the news the problems with Islamic terrorists in the area but I understand it's more of an ethnic issue more than a one of religion.
