Dogs On London Buses

Slightly off-topic: One day I was on my way up to Cheltenham. there were the usual works on the line so the bit between Reading and Swindon had to be done via a rail replacement service.

A trio of middle-aged japanese ladies with a small and well-behaved dog in tow boarded the coach to be told they couldn't get on with the dog. I was amazed. How did the driver expect them to get where they were going if not via his bus.

What a wanker. Fortunately, after a little while of willy waving, he grudgingly agreed to carry them.

There are a lot of jobs worths out there :(

I have had run-ins with drivers not admitting a dog because there is already one aboard. In my area there are no 'upstairs' busses and I have two dogs. After many long and painful walks before we even get to the 'FUNWALK' part of it I have managed to train the drivers. I and my dogs are accepted with a cheery :)

We had that once this conductor said there was already a dog upstairs.. So I said it will be nice that she has company then... :D She did not let me on the bus
