Dog Dies After Being Deliberately Run Over By North Wales Police

You can be killed in a second, see the poor woman in Guildford on Saturday. No dogs involved there though.

So better to contact HQ and get them to get the Superintendent briefed who then gives the green light to hoof it up and down the road until the dog is squished.

The filth's version is full of holes, as always when they kill in cold blood, hence the IPCC getting dragged in to help with the cover-up. That so many people are so quick to not only believe the shit they shovel, but come up with far fetched nonsense to back up their bollocks goes to show how much this place has changed. JCdM would be spinning in his grave :(

Yeah, it only takes a second, and the more seconds you leave, the more chance of an accident occurring. Truth is, neither of us know the full facts, but, in principle, killing the dog could be the best option.

I'm certainly not backing up their account; I don't know the facts. But I'm dismissing the idea that what they did is necessarily wrong, becasue I can see circumstances where this would be the best course of action.

They killed the dog coz it was a menace and could have got someone killed. I didn't speak out coz this was the entirely sensible thing to do
First they came for the socialists and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for A55 Dog and I said, hold on a minute, this last persecution is peculiarly niche isn't it, and they said no actually, there's more loose dogs on the A55 than there are socialists or trade unionists put together so if anything it's really an appropriate escalation. So I helped them run it over with my car.

Turned out it was a frightened Pastor Niemoller in a dog costume. Who could have known?

What's that bit in the highway code about driving at a safe speed ?
ie drive at such a speed that you can stop within the distance you can see to be clear.

I live in a rural area, and drive in the dark a lot - but in almost 30 years I've yet to hit a fox / badger / dog / cat / cow / horse / deer - despite seeing them in front of me many times ... I'll admit to one pheasant three years ago that flew across and hit the side (not the front) of the car. And I don't hang about.
I live in a rural area, and TBH if I had to drive at a speed low enough to spot a badger dodging out from the verge, I'd - quite seriously - have to be doing 20mph most of the time after dark. Quite a few of our NSL single carriageway main roads have regular badger corpses lying around, so it's not even as if you can say it's just country lanes.

And doing 20mph down the A477 is just asking to be rear-ended by some great truck rushing for the ferry. It might be their fault, but I'll take my chances with the badger, thanks all the same :)

(I hit one last year, doing about 60, and it made a bit of a mess of the front of my car, and put a bloody great dent in the radiator. Tough bastards, badgers. He didn't survive it, though.

you shall rue something. Not the day. That would be too easy. But there will be rueing of some sort, mark my words.

It also sounds like quite a skilful bit of driving on the part of the plod driver who managed to kill the dog, presumably without any other casualties or damage. Well done that man.
didn't even spill his kebab, which was good as there was a bit of lettuce left over that he fancied. Gawd bless em.

There is the fact that ramming a dog at speed is not necessarily going to improve matters. It appears it did in this case (except from the dog's perspective) but I'm assuming the pigs aren't trained in the correct procedures for judging speed and accuracy in destruction of canines via vehicular collisions.

I mean if the road was busy enough for all this traffic swerving to avoid stuff it would, thinking about it, be an incredibly stupid solution. Unless you've got an inbound police car on the correct lane at speed with dead eye Evans at the wheel.

Its 3am in the morning not brilliant for anyones mental capacity think it takes more than one car to close a road safely.

Probably best they could come up with no dog catcher or rifle avilable
