does education have any indictation of intelligence?

intelligence is the abiliity to memorize, spot relations and solve problems with speed and originality. apparently.

best seen as "what intelligence tests test".

maths and/ or art is what it is mainly too. they forgot that bit.

intelligence tests measure 'psychologist's dimension of intelligence'. Not much point arguing with this... Do you mean something else by the word than as it is used by psychologists?

Understandable, admittedly the term was in use before psychologists started designing tests for it, but it now does cover 'the abiliity to memorize, spot relations and solve problems with speed and originality', unlike e.g. 'has a nice arse', which could conceivabley be translated to the term 'intelligence' in some situations.

Yeah it can have but it can mean many different thingz, Gramsco's idea of the organic intellectual is someone whose raw real life expereinces in their everyday lives is an education within itself, then youv'e got your bod who goes to university, goes though the prescribed ropes of their subject/coursework, both paths have different types of intelligence, one perhaps more related to the real world, the other more rooted in rational and logic.

Nah, an organic intellectual in Gramsci's terms was precisely someone formed by the educational insitututions of the state, who was organically bound to the norms of that state and it's civil society- not a rough unformally educated person. He hoped that the working class woulds develop institutions and bodies to develop its own counter-organic intellectuals based in its own needs.
