I have temporarily (ha) adopted my daughter's fish in a bloody massive tank (400litres)...although they had also passed to my eldest since she had them. 2 enormous goldfish called Fabio and Goldie (which should give you some idea of their age) plus several danios and a weather loach. The loach has only recently come out of a 3month hibernation (who knew) but in general, I yearn for the day I am relieved of the burden of fishkeeping. One damn thing after another - bloat, swim-bladders, algal blooms and lately, the ramshorn snails are beginning to get out of hand.
However, it is surprisingly touching being greeted by a collection of open-mouthed creatures awaiting breakfast every morning - bloodworms, cooked peas, catfish pellets or whatever treats I have found down at Pets R Us.
Ah yes, Mumbles274, the plant stuff got me a little bit obsessively - have spent more money in the tank than I have in my garden.
