I would agree. Both SOAD & Soundgarden should not be tarred with the same brush as Nickelback. May not like them particularly but they don't deserve that.

All my painstaking research on Myspace and Amazon indicates that those who like Nickelback also tend to like other lumpy clitwitted rubbish such as SOAD/Staind/Korn/Limp Bizkit/Creed/Puddle Of Mudd and so on. Actually, if I had to choose, I'd listen to Nickelback over SOAD. At least they're easy to ignore, it's just a mundane chug. Rather than that SOAD's cod-classical fucking time signatures and nauseating self-importance. Total cocks.

I called 'em Soundgarden lite for the simple reason the band isn't as heavy but he sings in that same annoying voice. I generally blame Eddie Vedder for the amount of dodgy rock singers who use it but Cornell must be at least as much to blame. It's just that Pearl Jam were rubbish and incredibly annoying while Soundgarden were just persistently disappointing.

Bloody awful! There was one Creed track I liked at the time that was on a Rock Sound CD back when they first came out. Ode i think it was called. Copied the album off the Rev and my god was it bad. Thing is, I can understand why Jeff and ouch and whatnot don't like SOAD, they are awful but in an IMO entertaining way, but Nickelback have nothing going for them whatsoever. They're even worse than U2 FFS, and I don't say that lightly.
