They are GORGEOUS
They do look good. I'm often jealous/irritated that women get a wider choice of docs then men - not this pair specifically, but generally.
I'd love a pair of the "patent leather" 1460s or 1461s for example, but they only do them up to size 9, as they are a "women's style" and I'm a 10.
1) it makes no sense that they are a 'women's' style
2) I know women with feet larger than a size 9
The world's gorn maaaad.
These are genuine "For Lifes" . I doubt the guarantee will transfer, but if you have the details the seller used to register the guarantee, I guess you'd get away with it.

I keep saying I've not had docs for years but I'm lying. I've got a pair of these in black that I've never worn because I know they'll fucking kill but I don't want to get rid of them because they're so pretty.
And I think I've still got a pair of battered red mary janes too... I know I got rid of one pair of red mary janes (which I shouldn't have done, they were still in good nick)... maybe they're not docs though, I'd have to check.
They weigh an absolute ton.
Break 'em in after a few weeks wearing ankle weights.
I agree, I had a black pair I passed to a charity shop for the same reason.
How bad can they be?
Of course you might lose the 30 quid. Or every penny in your account. I'd love for somebody to risk it. But not me.
The new ones don't.
I'm not either.....just wondered.
I wish I could like these twice.
Yeah but I've got the old ones
I like the weight. It's reassuring.
What do I polish oxbloods with?
. (Moose beat me to it)
The softer leather (Carpathians) 1460's do that a bit too. Around the laces the leather takes a bit of a dent. Doesn't make much difference with mine as they're black so it doesn't show up, but I wouldn't buy them in oxblood/cherry red as they'd look a right mess.
Not sure how long they'll last compared to a tougher pair either.
Other than that I've been pleased with the first brand new pair I've ever bought. With a bit of Wonder Balsam on them they look really smart. I've got away with wearing them to work on dress down Friday. 1460's, decent jeans, decent shirt, proper coat - looks smart enough. No one's said owt anyway.
I'm not really a flip flops or sandal person but I needed something for a forthcoming holiday. 15 quid on eBay inc postage. Well happy.
I am on the Dr Martens mailing list and get regular updates from them (spam emails in other words)
Today's was plugging these.
DR MARTENS 1460 MONO SMOOTH
Now, I have three pairs of "wearable at work" DMs - Mono 3989s, Mono 2976s in a textured leather (I forget the name) and Archie polished smooth for client meetings, all of which are joyous. But a 1460 boot in mono, that I could get away with a work? oh joy of joys!!!
I was in London today, so popped into the Oxford St shop, (it's close to our head office) but they didn't have any yet and if I'm buying new, I want to try them on.
I really don't need another pair of "OK for work" black docs (though I could use a pair of brown shoes), but this is too, too good, surely. Mono 1460s ffs!!! That I can wear at work!!!! oh what joy. I need a pair of these.
I loved these when they came out,
but I know I'd get one foot caught in the other and break my neck, so I've bought a cheap pair of 1460s off eBay and bag of studs, and I'm going to recreate a simpler version with studs just on the outside ankle side. Pics in a while, if it works
Not particularly spectacular, but I was looking for a pair of brown shoes for work and these popped up. £47 quid inc postage, MiEs.

I am also working up the courage to just go straight for the Buy it Now price on these:-
Dr Martens TWISTED BROGUE BOOTS (£300 new!!) "Douglas" brown - Mens UK 10, EU 45 | eBay
I almost wish I had lost the bid on the brown 1461s so I could afford to stump up for these.
I'm rather partial to these:
Oh yes. I prefer this one, but we are on the same page
DR MARTENS 1461 ZEBRA
They're ace, editor. Get them!!
I prefer TUK animal print creepers but the bastards have stopped making them. The Dr Martens cost a shitload more but they're bound to last a lot longer!
Please tell me he's not wearing 1461 PWs.
Has anyone seen the Doc Martens x New Order/Joy Division stuff?
The website only has the Unknown Pleasures boot and the Technique and Power, Corruption and Lies tees, but the shop in Reading had the boots for all three.
Truly things of beauty but I settled for their Technique t-shirt.
