I had the black ones and some hideous checked ones as a teen. I loved the black boots teamed with the usual long flowery skirt and big socks

Now I have a couple of pairs of Mary Janes. Really comfy, but shit in wet or icy weather. Slipping all over the bloody place.

Got some skater shoes at the moment, and I'm very much not a skater type. Just big and black and comfy. I'm not really one who gives a shit about what goes with what. If the fashion facists want to get pissy, let them - life's too short to stress about which group of people thinks which item of clothing is cool and which group doesn't. Fuck the lot of them - I likes what I likes and that, my friends, is the word.
