we might all be into sport in these here parts, but we aint so numb skulled that we cant find what we want in one big all encompassing forum. we dont need any filing into little compartments of football, rugby, criket, swimming, tennis, motor racing, hockey, badminton, golf, darts, horse racing, dog racing, boxing, gymnastics, origami, judo, wrestling, basketball....

I post in this forum once in a blue moon (basically only whenever sailing or motorsports other than F1 come up) so it's maybe none of my business, but it seems to me that whilst a football forum would do fine, you'd be able to hear the tumbleweed blowing through the 'general sports' forum. All but three or four of the threads on the current front page are about football, after all.
