As you all know, Boogie Boy, aka Boogie Nights, aka Rob Harrision, aka HN18 for the purposes of the Undercover Policing Inquiry and Operation Herne, was an undercover officer deployed by the Met Police's SDS to infiltrate a number of London left-wing / anarchist groups including State of Emergency Collective, No Borders London, Globalise Resistance, rampART social centre and the International Solidarity Movement from 2004 to 2007. Core participants in the undercover policing inquiry have been trawling through his posts on Urban75 to form a report that will form part of a statement to the Inquiry focusing on the use of online media by undercover operations, an issue that is specifically part of the inquiry Terms Of Reference.
Access to the public post is one thing, but there is a whole other level which will be missed without the assistance of those who knew and engaged with him here.
It would be extremely powerful to be able to correlate intelligence he provided on specific people (some of which will be disclosed during the Inquiry), to evidence showing that he obtained that intelligence through people contacting him through the Urburn CD burning project he was so well known for, or through private messaging such as trying to recruit DJs or performers for political events, or just chatting off thread about upcoming events or experiences at protests etc.
So, please, the disclosure about his period of deployment is happening now, with the hearings expected this summer, and people are preparing statements right now.
If you gave him your address during Urburn, or have any old message exchanges with him that you would be willing to share, please do get in touch.
Likewise, if you know of posts he (or any other UCO made elsewhere), perhaps on Indymedia or Libcom, or if you known of email addresses he or other undercovers used to post on activist or campaign email lists, please provide the details.
