Do you snack?

Not really. I have a banana most afternoons though - is that snacking? Generally, it feels wrong - I was brought up on a rigid 3 meal a day pattern, with nasty consequences if I did snack, so it's kinda ingrained in me

I probably should though, cos I'm permanently hungry, and when I do eat, it's a messy Homer-like affair involving ridiculous amounts of food bolted at great speed

I have 6 meals a day on a working day.

Breakfast
Elevenses
Lunch
Mid Afternoon
Tea
Evening

The main meals are recognisable main meals and the small meals are fruit, nuts, crackers, veg, etc. I don't eat crisps or sweets. I also don't put on much weight as it's all slow food.
 
No, I don't really snack at all. I don't eat between meals when I'm at work, certainly. And no chocolate or sweets or biscuits because I don't really have a sweet tooth. In fact, why the fuck am I so fat? :mad: :D

I have been known to have the odd cup a soup. But generally I eat enough (in truth, too much) at mealtimes for me to be full until it's time for the next meal.
 
I'm a snacker, but fortunately I'm a lazy snacker. If the snacks are residing in a shop to which the walk involves too many stairs/too long a distance then the snacks tens to remain where they are.

My trouble is when they're sitting in a cupboard a mere 5 steps from where I'm sitting watching TV. Luckily I don't tend to buy snacks for home
 
I've got loads better with snacking lately, it makes me put on weight so quickly, so at the moment I try and fill myself up with drinks or distract myself. Until I have a smoke and get the munchies, and it's all ruined.
 
I'm a snacker at work.

Always some chocolate, biscuits, fruit, crisps, doughnuts, toast or whatever going round.

Been avoiding it recently though
 
yes bloody constantly, which is why i always look like i have a balloon up me top.:(

I am trying to be good and eat healthy things like fruit and nuts but frankly what i would kill for right now is a big fat pasty plus 3 bags of crisps and a ice lolly. Had lunch still fucking starving.

I am off to forage for potato slices that have been dropped into hot fat and salt:) I am so not getting into my jeans this evening:(
 
yes i snack.

cashew nuts. cake. wine gums. jelly beans. jaffa cakes. beef jerky. scones. kettle chips. liquorice all sorts.

i probably eat about 500 calories of junk a day.
 
I have snack type foods...a biscuit, crisps, fruit but they are all part of my lunch on an average day it' just that I might not eat them all at lunch.

At home I snack on olives, pickled onions, raw carrot and toast generally. Though I am quite addicted to crisps so only ever buy the low fat variety. I have 2 bags today already...not planning on anymore till tomorrow!
 
i mainly snack and hardly do meals.

very bad habit. this needs to change now baby comes along. but i dread i am not able to do it. or other hide my snacking in front of the kid..?
 
Does it really matter though Choc? So long as you're eating healthily and the child gets all they need. Anyway, for the first few years your child will probably be eating 5 or 6 times a day rather than three.
 
I proud to snack. You'll get no guilt from me :)

If I'm hungry, I have to eat, otherwise I get irritable and can't think straight! So at work I'll eat them 'Eat Natural' bars or a flapjack. At home it's biscuits, nuts or quality chocolate... and occasionally a banana or apple :)

I too am a proud snacker. If I eat at 11 (cereal bar, fruit or a cup-a-soup) I won't fancy much lunch, if any, then I might have more fruit in the afternoon or a small bowl of cereal and just a small dinner- really small. In fact, I probably eat less this way.
 
Yeh I do.I tend to snack loads for about an hour and call it my dinner though.lol

I dont liek feeling really full..and I tend to do loads of different things throughoutthe day including running and exercising, so it suits me to snack.
I try keep it healthy though:)
