Who are these people who keep everything in the fridge, from fruit to bananas.

We need a national cull I reckon, or someway of forcing them to use their tastebuds.

:(

No to bananas in the fridge. Or any fruit for that matter, including tomatoes. Or bread.

I also like my bananas slightly green - ripe bananas are eaten by hendo or made into banana muffins. :)
You see... you know (apart from the other fruit bit ;))

Do it.

Bee- Add the poll to this thread.
Think it has been done already, albeit a few years ago.

What options would you like in your poll? :D

Sometimes, in the summertime

Call me unconventional

bananas and bread no, other fruit yes - I like cold things, spent a lot of time in hot countries, so room temperature oranges, for example, seem wrong.

Cold things, especially chocolate, don't taste nearly as good though - cold temperatures level your tastebuds.

Serving decent chocolate, or even a proper variety of apple, is a waste of flavour.

I don't keep chocolate in the fridge. I don't know why I like cold things... can't drink room temp water either.

I don't think I could have done that any better myself. Well done. :)
Gah, I forgot, no but I keep bread in the fridge

I must admit I keep bread in the fridge. :o If its just normal, sliced stuff. It lasts a lot longer in there, in terms of going mouldy. And there's only me who eats it. It does dry out, but its better than losing half a loaf to mould, which always used to happen.

Banana's in the fridge though?! Wtf is that about?

I don't generally eat much bread, and what bread I do eat is usually toasted, so I keep a sliced loaf in the freezer and toast as needed.

Exactly. I hate stuff that's been overchilled. Ready-made sandwiches straight out of the chiller - yuck.

Ah.. I lied... if I make a sandwich for my lunch I do put bread in the fridge then :D

(and take it out about an hour before I eat it)

I am such a fridge-fanatic I keep forgetting I've got butter instead of marg at the moment and keep putting that in fridge too

oh lordy

check me

This is what happens when you put a nice banana in the fridge:

Welll.... do you? :D

I like most of my fruit cold, but cold bananas?

It's just wrong isn't it?

The key is to look where things are stored in your supermarket. Most fruit and veg lasts longer out of the fridge beleive it or not (esp tomatoes) .
With bananas you can slow down the ripening process a little though. Also be warned that placing ripe bananas near other fruit (or other bananas) will make it ripen and go off faster.

i occasionally put bread in the fridge, but only in really hot weather, so not very often really.

i like eating chocolate from the fridge, because i prefer it rock hard then easily biteable. so sue me you cunts.

as for bananas - there is only one place to store them to ensure a long, long life.
