Do you keep clothes that no longer fit?

I'm pretty much the same size now as I've always been(though my waist has gone up a couple of inches) so some of my clothes are ancient :o

I'm a hoarder but I AM trying to have a bit of a clear out.

I really need to chuck out all the size 10's.

Realistically, I'm never going to get into them again am I? :(

Yes all the time. Because.......... 1) Im a hoarder, 2) I might fit into them again, and 3) I begrudge throwing things away that I've paid hard cash for, when there's nothing actually wrong with them.

So, the solution is to put everything I don't wear into bin bags, dump at the bottom of the wardrobe for a minimum of a year (ensuring there can be no excuses along the lines of 'oh but it's winter wear and it's summer now so maybe I will need it again in a few months...... @ me). Then, when the time comes I go through the bags. If I don't come across anything that I've missed, it all goes. To my sisters, which satisfies objection 3, (above).

It works quite well, certainly for me. Sis doesn't have such qualms about binning stuff she hasn't bought and also is a mother to children whose schools do things like holding jumble sales, and donating to charity. :)
