Do you have a lava lamp?

I had one when I was 13.

My life has been fine without one since.

But it would be kinda fun to break one open and play with the stuff inside.

I've only got a cheapy one - $3.99 from a great cheap shop in town called 'quality save'. Not a proper mathmos one, but can't argue for that price

It is deep pinky in colour, and makes my room glow a lovely warm colour - I usually leave it on at night - a great night light

We've got one but the bulb blew in it a few years ago and not got round to replacing it yet (have tried but bought the wrong sized bulb... twice )

Ours didn't take too long to get going, but a mate of mine has one that takes hours... something to do with that it came from the states, and the power adapter doesn't give as much power as it should, so takes longer to heat up.

I love ours, and it was a total impulse buy - I'd ended up on griff's site because lots of people were getting over excited about the handbags, and I needed to have a nosy!

two minutes later, I'd ordered a mathmos projector

it's like living in an austin powers film

ive got one of the original mathmos purple and orange ones, didnt use it for years.....now ive given into the tackiness of it and have it on every night

dont really pay it any attention, just like it giving off a warm homely glow
