Do you have a football team you follow in other leagues? And is there a reason?

I followed Atletico Madrid for quite a while, before Fernando Torres moved. Aguero is just as an amazing player though IMO

I also follow Juventus, even after all the match fixing scandal. I have watched Football Italia every sunday when it is on for years.

Nah, never had you dwon as a camicia nera...

There's a few who do, no doubt they'll be along at some point. It doesn't bother me really, they're usually the types who claim ASR's ultras are good lefties, each and every one of them.

I vaguely know an Evertonian who has bumped into him, and the Everton lad is by no means a 'stereotypical' Laziale.

I met a couple of Everton lads outside the ground at the Fiore-Lazio match I mentioned earlier. We were chatting about Andy Nicholls, I got the impression he wasn't thought of too highly.

I must get over to Rome next season, didn't get round to it last season for one reason or another.

If they said this early 70's-late80's then yeah the overwhelming setion of ASRU/CUCS/Fedayn/VG etc were on the Left. But with no group having overall control and the Right gaining in Italy then the same has happened in the Curva. That said there's still plenty of 'vecchia scuole' Romanisit about.

A mate said that recently, summat to do with difces at Goodison and perhaps his 'involvement' with some govt/SFA stuff up here. But I never asked, kept by nose out. I'll leave that to those over on ITK and AWOL ;)

last game I was at was the 3-2 Derby win in October, tried to get over for the Derby in march but couldn't make it, thankfully!! The Derby in October was robocop overjkill, over 1,500 plod at the game apparently. The River bar where I drink with mates before games was hoaching with carininieri and polis

Livorno have the most famously left wing ultras in Italy, iirc.

Birthplace of the Italian Communist Party.

STFC posted a graphic that showed the politics of the Italian Ultras. Many clubs had both left & right ultra groups.

STFC: I took a copy but it has disappeared into the ether. Any chance of posting it again..??

I've found a version of it hosted on Imageshack, not the easiest to read unfortunately:

Inter. Had the german trio (Matthaus-Klinsmann-Brehme) in the early 90s, and I loved their old Biscione logo.

Leverkusen. They won the UEFA Cup the year after Porto won the ECC, so kind of grew up with them. I still have faint memories of my wee self sitting on the table while Vollborn saved three penalties in a row. Hardly glory hunting as they won fuckall since then :D

Then, there's a few teams that are underachievers and I usually pick on managers, such as Tottenham, Saint Etienne or Auxerre.

Scotland - Hibernian FC

And as a kid - New York Cosmos. Had the Kit and loved it, also because the great Pele came out of retirement to play for them, a few other old top pro's went on to play for them also.

I have a soft spot for Brentford cos I worked next to the ground for 11 years, used to come out of work, have a few pints in 1 of the 4 pubs on the corner of the ground and sometimes go to games.

Have seen the place with a cpl of hundred and packed to the rafters with 15000ish (against Fulham when Keegan was in charge and Beardsley played for them).

Also like the NY Cosmos cos I seen them against the San Diego Sockers when I was 13 in California, my cousin who I disliked, same age etc, was into the Sockers, so naturally I was into Cosmos.
